Current fund raising efforts are going to build and equip. (computers & books) a library for the 700 student school in the small poor, rural village of Ban Nong Puk Wan in Eastern Thailand.

Two village schools in a small,poor(average daily wage is less then $3.70 per day!!! ),rural Thai (Thailand) village need help. The village is Ban Nong Puk Wan, in the province of Sa Kaeo, in central eastern Thailand near the Cambodian border. There are the only two schools in the village and they service a total of 900 students, ages 3 to 15.
Below is a list of current projects that need funding:
1.
BATHROOM:
The school currently has less then 10 functional toilets and these are in Very poor sanitary condition.
Our Phase I goal is 20 functioning and sanitary toilets with handwash stations
Status on Project #1 -UPDATED Dec. 2008
Now 8 toilets have been completely rebuilt and are sanitary and operational. Funds are needed to build additional toilets to accomodate the large student population.
2.
LIBRARY: The school currently has no library.
3.
COMPUTERS: Our goal is 45 computers. These will be purchased in Thailand (thus staying within the Thai economy).
4.
BOOKS: Books are critically needed!!
5.
OTHER PROJECTS:
- Playground equipment for both schools.They have nothing for the children to play on!!
- Lunch benches & tables for both schools - children now sit on the floor.
- Desks for classrooms - many children sit on the floor.
- Drinking water treatment/sanitation machines for the schools - unsanitary roof run-off water is now used.
- Repair of family housing in the village.

Funds have been provided to complete the electrical system and add fans for the new kindergarden building used by over 100 youngsters age 3 to 5 years old. THE LITTLE ONES SAY THANKS!!***
